All hell broke loose at the OVO Festival after-party at Muzik Nightclub in Toronto, which was hosted by rapper Drake. A male and female was killed after a shooting took place at the venue on Tuesday morning; three others are critically injured.
The OVO Fest kicked off in Toronto this week and ended its two-night run on Monday night. The sporadic shooting occurred around 3:30 this morning on the grounds of the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), which is where, the club is located. Toronto Police Superintendent Frank Bergen announced that the victims were in their 20’s and 30’s.
“What occurred originally in the bar area had spilled out into the streets so south and north of this area we do have three separate crimes scenes,” Bergen said.
“At this point we do know for certain that one or two [shootings] were in the nightclub and we believe the others were outside of that area. This is all unfolding now and we’re doing our investigation.”
