Supermodel Eugena Washington becomes the third African American woman to be named Playmate Of The Year by Playboy magazine. The two African American women that previously hold the title were Renee Tenison in 1990 and Ida Ljungqvist in 2009.
You may remember Washington from the competition hit tv competition show, America’s Next Top Model season seven. Since being a contestant on the show, she still continued with her modeling dreams and became Playmate Of The Month just last year.
Here is what she said about becoming a Playmate to US Weekly:
“I got tricked!” she revealed to Us. “Two execs from Playboy called me and said, ’Eugena, we need you for a casting in the studio, it’s very important. Be on time.’ They had this chair sitting in the middle of the room for me and they said, ‘I need to talk to you’ and I was thinking, ‘I’m in trouble!’ And then they told me I was Playmate of the Year! It was so exciting.”
Congratulations to her!
