Fifteen years before the youngest top prosecutor in a major U.S. city pressed charges against six cops involved in the death of Freddie Gray, Baltimore state attorney, Marilyn Mosby, appeared on an episode of Judge Judy as the plaintiff in a small claims case against her neighbor and won nearly $2,000.
Mosby, who was a 20 years old at the time, claimed that her neighbor, Ryan Johnson, broke into her apartment and used it for a baby shower while she was gone for the summer break. She was a college student at Tuskegee University in Alabama at he time an decided to go to her hometown for the summer, only to return and see her apartment broken into and destroyed.
Ryan Johnson had been inquiring about the apartment prior to her leaving and didn’t want her to have it so of course all signs lead to him. On top of that his wife was pregnant at the time and when Marilyn returned, she was greeted with the left over baby shower decorations.
After lying about breaking into her home and being called out by Judge Judy, Ryan was ordered to pay Marilyn $1,731.30. Watch below:
