It’s been nearly a month since Bobbi Kristina Brown was comatose after found unresponsive in her bathroom tub. Today, sources say doctors removed her from her coma and got a response they were not expecting.
“She was taken off the drugs, but she began having violent seizures,” a family source says. Bobbi Kristina, 21, has been on life support for the past few weeks with a ventilator and feeding tube. Dr. Subhashini Ramesh, a professor of NeuroCritical Care at Georgia Regents University has concluded that the two reasons Bobbi Kristina was taken out of the coma was to see if the “the underlying problem has improved” or to “get a sense of what the patient is able to do for themselves.” In this case, things did not go as planed. Although the family remains hopeful and prayerful, they are still disappointed at the outcome.
“This is a horrible setback. Everyone was hopeful that this was the sign that she’d turned the corner. We were so optimistic,” the source tells PEOPLE. “Bobby is taking this so hard; he was sure this was going to be a good day. But please, everyone needs to pray for Krissi. I don’t care what religion you are, or if you have no religion at all. Send your thoughts, your prayers, your well-wishes. Send everything you’ve got. Please.”
Continue to keep the Houston and Brown family in prayer!
