Omar Sharif has gone home to glory at the age of 83. The iconic actor starred in a host of Hollywood’s notable films including Lawrence of Arabia. His agent, Steve Kenis, confirmed that he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, however he suffered from a heart attack in Cairo where he later died.
The Egyptian-born Sharif has won two Golden Globe awards and an Oscar for his epic performance in Lawrence of Arabia as well as a Golden Globe for Doctor Zhivago. In the final decade of his career, Omar was featured in two television series’ “The Treveller’ and ‘The Ten Commnadments.’
